This is a crowd pleaser! Although it is a keto recipe, it is one that everyone will love (keto or not)! If you are used to using fathead dough recipes on a ketogenic diet, this one has a little twist that makes it extra delicious, especially in a pizza recipe!
Customize this pizza easily with your own ingredients and toppings of course!
INGREDIENTS
Crust
- 3/4 cup almond flour
- 1-1/4 cups shredded mozzarella
- 1/4 cup shredded parmesan
- 2 tbsp cream cheese cubed
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 3/4 tsp Italian seasoning (I added some red pepper flakes as well)
DIRECTIONS
Crust
Preheat oven to 400F
Combine all ingredients except for the egg in a medium sized glass bowl and microwave on high in 30 second increments, stirring well in between until the cheese is melted and ingredients are well blended.
Remove the bowl from the microwave, add the egg and combine well (using your hands might be most effective) until the egg is completely blended in.
Roll the dough out between two pieces of parchment paper or using a silicone baking mat.
Bake at 400F for about 10 minutes on a baking pan or until the edges start to turn golden.
Remove the pan from the oven, flip the crust over (tricky but an awesome way to get a nice evenly baked crust) and set aside.
INGREDIENTS
Pizza Toppings & Sauce
- 1/3 cup of your favorite salsa
- 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 lb ground beef (grass fed and finished of course!)
- 1-2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 1 roma tomato
Other Optional Toppings
- Shredded head lettuce
- Sour cream
- Chopped green onions
DIRECTIONS
The Rest of the Pizza.
Brown the beef in a skillet, add the taco seasoning and 1-2 tbsp water, combine well.
Dice up any veggies you are using for toppings.
On your prepared pizza crust, spread the salsa evenly onto the crust, followed by cheeses and taco meat and whatever toppings you prefer to be cooked (I like my tomatoes fresh as a pizza topping so those went on after baking for us!)
Bake at 400F for around 7 minutes or until cheese as melted and starts to turn golden.
Remove from oven & let cool for a few minutes before adding any remaining toppings.
